MALTBY TSW Forged Wedges

      Components

I installed  Maltby TSW  50 – 54 – 58

Forged Heads with Project X 6.0 3.70

Shafts, Golf Works 8R Designer Ferrules,

Golf Pride MCC+4 Medium Grips,

5/16″ Dowel Plugs and Foam Inserts

This set of TSW Wedges match my Maltby

TS1 IM set of Irons

      THEORY

Using an 8 iron shaft cut to a wedge

length gives the tip a stiffer feel and

lower ball flight with more backspin.

It worked.  So, I Built a set of

Edison wedges for Joel who raves

about them and recently won a local

Golf Tournament in Oregon.

THE BUILD  8/22/24

1)  Cut 3 1/2″ off Tip of Shaft = 8 Iron Shaft

2)  Spine Align Shaft – Find the shaft spine

3)  Flow Shaft with Laser so Spine is facing

     the Green

4) Mix Epoxy

5)  Install 5/16″ Dowel to dampen

vibration on Miss Hits (Tyger Woods)

6)  Install Ferrules on Shaft

7)  Epoxy Heads on Shaft

8)  Cut Butt End of Shaft to Wedge 35.25″

9)  Insert Foam Inserts to Dampen Vibration

10) Install Grips  – GOOD LUCK!

NIKI's PXG 0311 Gen 3 XP Irons

Niki’s Birthday                                  On 6/20/24 I built Niki a set of PXG  Irons with Adam’s  V40 Fiberglass Shafts and Golf Pride New Decade Grips. WOW!  The Adams Shafts have more flex than her old Cobra clubs and she is able to get a lot more loft and distance.  She’s dialing in the wedges and getting more Greens in Regulation.

Cleggr's MALTBY TS1 IM's

The Build 5/20/24                                 Since I’ve lost a little distance at 76 years old, I set out to build myself a new set of Golf Clubs that would help me get that distance back.  My latest  set was assembled using Maltby TS1 IM Polymer Injected Forged Iron Heads, with Project X 5.0 High Launch Shafts and Golf Pride MCC+4 Grips.  Shafts were Spine aligned and Flowed so the spine is aligned to the Flag.  They were also Soft Stepped to cerate a Senior Flex which means  for example, installing a 7 iron shaft in an 8 iron Head.  Foam inserts were also installed to dampen shock to my arms on miss hits. These Clubs have exceeded my expectations and allowed me to regain my distance with more accuracy and consistency.  WOW!  I Love em.
